Summer Rock Project 2019 Rock site #1: Andrea II

This summer, we volunteered with STINAPA on a project that protects shallow corals and improves the shore diving experience for the many adventurous visitors and residents of Bonaire. Our project involved creating and placing yellow entry/exit rocks at various shore dive and snorkel sites to help tourist and locals find the safest spots to enter and exit the sea. It helps people that might not know what to look for choose the safest spot to enter and exit. It also limits foot traffic to one area and therefore saves small corals and other critters that might otherwise be damaged if people enter at many different spots. STINAPA has offer their gratitude to us (and our 2019 summer guests) who all helped contribute to this beneficial project.
